QPS claim
QPSA Quantity Purchase Scheme claim — a volume-based incentive a brand owes a dealer for hitting a purchase-quantity slab in a period, accrued as the dealer buys and claimed back later as a credit note.
A QPS (Quantity Purchase Scheme) claim is a volume-based incentive an electronics brand owes a dealer for hitting a purchase-quantity slab in a period. Dealers accrue QPS as they buy, then claim it back — typically as a credit note settled against the payable in a monthly statement.
Reconciling QPS means matching what the scheme circular promised at each slab against what the brand actually credited. The common leakage is a slab hit but short-paid, or a credit note that never arrived — invisible without a claim-by-claim match, because the QPS amount per unit is small enough to miss by eye but large in aggregate.
QPS is a primary scheme: it rewards buying (sell-in), so it reduces the dealer's net landing cost. It is usually reconciled at the slab level against the brand's statement rather than per invoice.
